Player's guitar works

There are many things that can happen to a guitar over time that can effect the finish. We have mastered proven methods that replicate all the phases that a finish might go through.

Player’s Guitar Works offers four distinct levels of finishing: Mint, Stored, Played, and Beat.

MINT

Looks like a brand new guitar with no wear. We use period correct product for each project. Nitrocellulose lacquer for the older interments and polyurethane for the modern finishes.

STORED

Gives the look and feel of a guitar that has been stashed away for the last 30 years. Light wear and small degree of hardware aging.

PLAYED

This looks like a guitar that has been played. It has a dulled and checked finish, some scratches and dings, and the fingerboard edges have been slightly rolled.

BEAT

The guitar that's been played to death! Dulled finish, checking, scratches, dents, chips, belt wear, etc. Kind of looks like it was thrown off a cliff.
